Portraits & Commissions

I’m currently accepting portrait commissions and landscape commissions. Please contact me to talk about ideas. I can paint commissions from a favourite photo you already have, and can also work with you toward exciting concepts for a unique and personal direction. Prices are determined by size of the painting and complexity. See some examples below while considering that I can work smaller or larger and with flexibility in approach and subject matter. I will work within your budget. Thanks for looking! Please contact me by Phone: (289) 213-2472 or Email: vermassa@gmail.com

Kiki in Teal Satori, oil on panel, 48 x 48 inches.

Kiki in Teal Satori, oil on panel, 48 x 48 inches.

48 x 48 INCHES, $4400

This portrait was an expressionist and mystical response to a model I was working on. Relating to a commission, this gives an idea of the directions that style and emotion can be pushed. The style can be pushed more in the classical, surreal, expressive. Contact me to talk about ideas.

Landscape in Pink & Lime Green, oil on canvas, 6 x 6 feet.

Landscape in Pink & Lime Green, oil on canvas, 6 x 6 feet.

72 x 72 inches, $7500

This landscape was created as a commission for a couple who had an emotional connection to an area of woods in their backyard. The splashy and abstracted style melded with the representation of forest creates a unique and beautiful aesthetic for a home where the large size becomes immersive.

Ernest, oil on panel, 10 x 10 inches.

Ernest, oil on panel, 10 x 10 inches.

10 x 10 inches, $800

Here’s an example of a small 10 x 10 inch portrait I painted. The smaller sized painting is still rich in colour and texture with lively brush strokes and atmosphere.

Skye & Milkshake, oil on canvas.

Skye & Milkshake, oil on canvas.

36 x 36 inches, $3300

An example of a mid-size painting incorporating stylized portraiture into a setting. The option to have a portrait commissioned that is set within an imaginative and evocative scene is a great option.

Shred!, oil on panel, 12 x 9 inches.

Shred!, oil on panel, 12 x 9 inches.

12 x 9 inches, $900

A smaller sized portrait here gives another example of capturing a likeness while also having an aesthetic of expression and process with exploration in colour and mark making.
